The Stars of Social Care Awards celebrate people working in social care who go the extra mile and make a positive difference to the lives of others. It was a wonderful evening and a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the people who make a difference every day.

We’re incredibly proud of Alina Tirna and Ana Filipe for their achievements and recognition on the night.

🏆 The Learning and Development Award

Winner: Alina Tirna, Training & Compliance Manager

A huge congratulations to Alina Tirna, who was the winner of The Learning and Development Award!

Alina plays an important role at Fuchsia Homecare, helping our care workers develop their skills, knowledge and confidence through engaging and enjoyable training.

She has introduced creative ways of learning, including gamification, where points, badges and friendly competition make training more interactive, as well as virtual reality, which gives our care workers the opportunity to experience realistic care scenarios in a safe and controlled environment.

What makes Alina’s training even more special is her friendly and approachable nature. She creates an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, trying new things and building their confidence.

Her dedication to learning and development has made a real difference to our team, and we’re delighted to see her hard work recognised at the Stars of Social Care Awards 2024.

💚 The Mental Health Specialist Award

Runner-Up and Highly Commended: Ana Filipe, Care Worker

We’d also like to say a huge congratulations to Ana Filipe, who was named Runner-Up and Highly Commended in The Mental Health Specialist Award category.

Ana is a kind, patient and compassionate care worker who always takes the time to understand the people she supports.

Her dedication to supporting a customer living with mental health needs has made a meaningful difference. Ana takes the time to listen, provide reassurance and support, while also helping the customer access additional services and community resources when needed.

Her calm and caring approach shows the difference that thoughtful, person-centred support can make.

Ana’s recognition is a wonderful reflection of the care and commitment she brings to her role every day.

We couldn’t be prouder of Alina and Ana and everything they have achieved.

Although they were recognised in different categories, both awards highlight something that is incredibly important to us at Fuchsia Homecare: great care starts with great people.

From developing new ways to train and support our care workers to providing kindness and understanding to customers, our team works hard every day to make a difference.

Awards like these give us the opportunity to celebrate individual achievements, but they also remind us of the dedication and teamwork behind everything we do.
